Two Week Morocco Tour
Cities, Mountains & Sahara Desert
Morocco Tour Itinerary: Explore the Best of Morocco in 14 Days
his trip is more than just visiting places; it’s about living Morocco with us, the way locals do. For two weeks, we’ll take you through cities, mountains, deserts, and villages, sharing food, music, and stories along the way.
Day 1: Casablanca Arrival
We meet you at the airport and give you your first Moroccan welcome: a smile and a cup of mint tea. If your flight time allows, we’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque, standing right on the Atlantic coast; one of the few mosques in Morocco open to visitors. Dinner by the ocean, overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we drive to Rabat, Morocco’s calm and elegant capital. We’ll walk through the Kasbah of the Udayas, a white-and-blue neighborhood overlooking the ocean. Then we continue north through the Rif Mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, the blue pearl. Evening stroll in the blue alleys, overnight in a riad.

Day 3: Chefchaouen
A slow morning, breakfast on a rooftop terrace with mountain views. Today is about exploring the medina at your own rhythm: narrow alleys, tiny craft shops, and peaceful squares. For those who enjoy hiking, we can walk to the Spanish Mosque above town for a panoramic view at sunset. Dinner in a local restaurant, overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 4: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes
We leave Chefchaouen and head south. On the way, we stop at Volubilis, the Roman ruins surrounded by rolling hills and olive groves. Next, Meknes, with its grand gates like Bab Mansour. Finally, we arrive in Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. Dinner and overnight in a riad inside the old medina.

Day 5: Full Day in Fes
Guided tour of Fes, one of the world’s largest car-free zones. We’ll visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest in the world, the colorful tanneries, artisan quarters, and spice markets. We’ll stop for lunch in a traditional Moroccan house. Evening free to explore more or relax. Overnight in Fes.

Day 6: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt
We leave Fes behind and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture, then in Azrou, where cedar forests are home to Barbary macaque monkeys. We continue to Midelt, a small mountain town famous for apples. Dinner and overnight in a local guesthouse.

The scenery changes dramatically today as we cross the Ziz Gorge and see the endless palm groves of the Ziz Valley. By late afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Camels take us into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where we watch the sunset over golden sands. Dinner by the fire, Berber music under the stars, and overnight in a desert camp.
Day 7: Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Day 8: Sahara Desert Discovery
Wake up early to catch the sunrise painting the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll visit a nomadic family still living in traditional tents, hear Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and explore seasonal desert lakes when present. Free time to relax or sandboard on the dunes. Tonight you can choose: another night in the camp or a guesthouse in Merzouga.

Day 9: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
We say goodbye to the desert and head west through oases and Berber villages. Stop at the Todra Gorges, where 300-meter cliffs rise dramatically on each side. Perfect for a short walk by the river. Continue to the Dades Valley, known for its “monkey fingers” rock formations and kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.

Day 10: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou
We follow the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” towards Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital. Visit Taourirt Kasbah or the film studios, then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site and one of Morocco’s most famous ksars. Sunset walk through its clay alleys, overnight in a guesthouse nearby.

Day 11: Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
We cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m). The road is full of panoramic views, Berber villages, and colorful landscapes. By evening, we reach Marrakech, the red city. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 12: Full Day in Marrakech
A guided tour to discover Marrakech: the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the souks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Street food, snake charmers, storytellers; Marrakech is alive from morning to night. Free time in the evening for your own discoveries.

Day 13: Day Trip to the Atlas Mountains
After the energy of Marrakech, we head to the Atlas Mountains for calm and fresh air. Visit the Ourika Valley or Imlil village near Mount Toubkal. Share lunch with a Berber family and enjoy a short hike in the green valleys. Return to Marrakech in the evening for your last night in Morocco.

Day 14: Departure from Marrakech
Depending on your flight time, enjoy a relaxed morning before your airport transfer. We say goodbye; but Morocco will stay with you in memories of desert sunsets, mountain tea, and medina colors.
With Atlas Nomads Travel, every day is more than sightseeing; it’s about people, stories, and living Morocco with us.
